Thank You Partnered Nonprofits and Volunteers

Our event is proudly run by volunteers, and we partner with local organizations that bring their own volunteer teams to help make everything possible. If there are any areas that cannot be filled through these groups, we will open additional volunteer sign-ups in August.

Our success is a direct result of their incredible efforts. As a valued volunteer, they play a vital role in our extensive team dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences for the countless visitors at the Carolina BalloonFest each day.

Their dedication helps keep the festival one of Iredell County’s top events, with customer satisfaction always a priority. By giving their time and energy, they also support nonprofit organizations and give back to the community in a meaningful way.

Volunteer FAQs

  • Carolina BalloonFest, operated by National Balloon Rally Charities, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Each year, a portion of our proceeds are donated back to the community. Be apart of this fantastic organization and give back to our local community! 

  • Shifts typically last 4 hours.

  • The Carolina BalloonFest would not be possible without are many volunteers. To show our thanks, volunteers receive free parking and admission to the BalloonFest after their four-hour shift. Volunteers that register by September 31 with their t-shirt size, receive a Carolina BalloonFest Volunteer T-shirt. 

  • Volunteer must be at least 18 years and older.

  • Carolina BalloonFest appreciates any individual's willingness to volunteer for our charity. We ask that first-time volunteers and even returning volunteers, attend our Volunteer Training Day. Email volunteer@carolinaballoonfest.com for more details.
