The Carolina BalloonFest is a weather dependent event and tickets are nonrefundable. National Balloon Rally Charities, Inc. is a nonprofit that donates a portion of our festival proceeds to other local nonprofits and surrounding community agencies.

Important Things to Know for Patrons of the Flow Automotive Carolina BalloonFest!
The Carolina BalloonFest is a weather-dependent event, and therefore, although the general weather forecast for the weekend looks good, wind and weather conditions can change rapidly. Carolina BalloonFest will do everything within our means to have as many scheduled launches as possible. However, our patrons must understand that we have no control over the weather and that the safety of our pilots, their passengers and our patrons is our primary concern.

Most vendors and beer tickets are cash purchases only. Limited ATM locations; wait times for guest access to cash may occur.
HOT AIR BALLOON FLIGHTS / ACTIVITIES ARE WEATHER DEPENDENT.
All ballooning activities including static display, tethered rides and balloon flights are weather dependent. The decision to inflate hot air balloons is made just prior to a scheduled ballooning activity. (Winds & weather may seem calm for ground dwellers while unsafe for air travelers.) Permitted Items
Blankets, chairs, cameras, small umbrellas, unopened bottled waters, small snacks (such as crackers, chips).
Items not allowed
Pets, coolers, weapons, drones, pop-up canopies. Search activities will be in progress.
Hot air balloons only launch twice daily
Many attractions and family-friendly activities are scheduled throughout the day for your enjoyment between scheduled launch times. Check out our entertainment lineup and our NC Wine and Craft Beer Tastings. The festival also has a kids zone and some other family-fun activities.

Rain or Shine... Carolina BalloonFest is open October 20-22, 2023!
Hot Air Balloon Flights are scheduled twice daily; early morning & late afternoon. All ballooning activities (including static display, tethered rides and balloon flights) and skydiving exhibition are weather-dependent. The decision to inflate hot air balloons is made just prior to the scheduled ballooning activity. Please note that due to the popularity of our festival, our admissions booths will close when we reach maximum capacity. This is a decision out of our control and made by local law enforcement. Festival Location is near Statesville Regional Airport at 260 Hangar Drive, Statesville, NC 28677. Pre-purchased parking will be available on site and free parking will be available at Troutman park and ride. NO ROADSIDE PARKING - vehicles will be towed where NO PARKING signs are posted. Walk in spectators will not be admitted. Ticket scanning will be in progress.
