Teams
Please join the fun and festivities as a team member by volunteering for a 4-hour shift in one or more of the following areas. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older.

Merchandise/Information
Whether you like talking on the phone or helping strangers find their way, work areas include; Festival Office, Entrance Gate, Festival Information and Souvenirs Booth. Volunteers will be expected to handle cash transactions, sales of CBF merchandise and keep a running tally of sales. Volunteers who can put in weekday hours are needed in the office prior to the festival.

Site Support
If hands-on activity is your thing, this team has plenty of it! Site support is an area where the festival always needs help. Duties could include helping with festival set-up, transportation caravans and ice deliveries to vendors.

Wine Festival Team
Many of North Carolina’s best wineries will be on-site to provide tasting and wine sales. This team will support the festival by providing ID checks, selling wine glasses and giving support to the wineries.

Volunteer/Information Tent
Check in volunteers, issue T-Shirts, direct volunteers to their assigned site and answer questions of festival guests.

Parking
If you have any experience with parking cars at big events then we need you! The airport provides us with some big parking lots and we want to make sure people get in and out of them safely.

Hot Air Balloon Chase Crew
If you like early mornings and late evenings, know the roads around the airport and can read a map, then this is your team. Some of our participating pilots will need help for balloon flights and the balloon glow. Duties include helping with inflation of the balloon, riding in the chase truck for retrieval and packing up after landing. Strong legs and back are a must as hot air balloons weigh over 200 lbs (which makes for some heavy lifting). Chase crew volunteers must be 18 years or older.
